experience, he has performed environmental compliance, ISM (Marine Safety), SMS
(Company Safety Management System) and certified ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO14001
(Environmental), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 22000
(Food Safety) & ISPS (Security) audits, supervised environmental, health
& safety compliance activities & projects for vessels, dry/wet dock
operations, Ports-of-Call and numerous land-based operations for private
industry, sovereign governments and port state authorities. He has managed a variety of special research
projects for US private industry and the US government and he was directly
responsible for management of Emergency Hazardous Materials Response activities
for hurricane devastated Florida (US) in the 1990’s.
He holds
undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biology and post-graduate degrees in
Microbiology and Business from major
